Common green lacewing. Macrophotograph of an adult common green lacewing (Chrysoperla carnea) resting on a leaf. This animal inhabits several crop plants. Both the adult and the larva are carnivorous. The larva is a voracious predator of aphids, themselves a pest of many important crops, and is commonly used as a biological control agent. Magnification unknown.
