Scorpion. Scorpions are arachnids that are found in warm, dry areas of the world. They are nocturnal and mainly feed on spiders and insects. The long curled abdomen bears a sting that is used to paralyse and kill prey held in its large pincers or claws. Photographed in Madagascar.
