Sea cucumber (Thelenota ananas) on a sandy seabed. This sea cucumber is also known as a prickly redfish. It may reach a length of up to 70 centimetres. It is an echinoderm, and is related to starfish and sea urchins. It feeds on detritus from the sea floor. Photographed in Sipadan, Malaysia.
