Sea squirts. Colony of Clavelina robusta sea squirts (ascidians) on a rock. These tunicate animals filter plankton from the water current which circulates through them. They are sedentary in their adult stage (seen here), but are free- swimming as larvae. Photographed in Mabul, Malaysia.
