Blacktip reef shark feeding. Diver holding fish meat that a juvenile blacktip reef shark (Carcharhinus melanopterus) is feeding on. Other unidentified, carnivorous fish are also seen. This shark is found throughout the tropical Pacific and Indian Oceans. It is a small shark, which rarely exceeds 2 metres in length, weighing up to 13.6 kilograms. Blacktip reef sharks feed on fish, but its diet can also include crustaceans and other molluscs. It is common in shallow water, inhabiting coral reefs & intertidal zones.
