Blacktip reef shark. Diver playing With a juvenile blacktip reef shark (Carcharhinus melanopterus) that is biting his gloved hand. This shark is found throughout the tropical Pacific and Indian Oceans. It is a small shark rarely exceeding 2 metres in length. The blacktip reef shark feeds on fish, but its diet can also include crustaceans and other molluscs. It is common in shallow water, inhabiting coral reefs and intertidal zones.
