Deep sea fish. Head of a fangtooth deep sea fish (Anoplogaster cornuta) showing its long sharp teeth. This fish is found in all temperate waters between 150 and 5000 metres below the surface. It is carnivorous, feeding on fish and other animals. It may reach a length of around 15 centimetres. This specimen was caught off Baja California, Mexico.
