Grouper. Groupers (family Serranidae) are carnivores, feeding on smaller fish and crustaceans. Groupers hunt using an ambush technique. There are more than 100 species, found throughout tropical and subtropical waters. Size varies greatly; species can be between 10 centimetres and 4 metres in length.
