Longnose hawkfish (Oxycirrhites typus) on a sea fan, or gorgonian. This fish inhabits coral reefs in the Indo-Pacific region, often sheltering on a sea fan (a coral-like organism). It feeds on small crustaceans and can reach a length of 10 centimetres. A sea fan is a coral-like colony of filter-feeding organisms. Photographed in the Egyptian Red Sea.
