Chevron barracuda (Sphyraena putnamae) school. This fast and voracious predator feeds mainly on smaller fish and cephalopods such as squid. It hunts mainly at night, spending the day in large schools. It can reach a length of around a metre. The chevron, or sawtooth, barracuda is found in the tropical Indo-Pacific region, from the Red Sea to the western Pacific islands.
