Longspine squirrelfish (Holocentrus rufus). This fish inhabits reefs in the tropical western Atlantic, including the Caribbean Sea. It is nocturnal, spending the day in a cave or hole in the coral, and emerging at night to patrol sandy areas for crabs, shellfish and starfish. It may reach a length of up to 35 centimetres.
