Spotted coral grouper (Plectropomus maculatus) over rocks. This fish inhabits the tropical waters of the western Pacific Ocean. It is a hunter, feeding on smaller fish and crustaceans. It can reach a length of around a metre, and is valued as both a sport and food fish.
