Blue surgeonfish (Paracanthurus hepatus). This fish, also called a blue tang, inhabits coral reefs throughout the tropical Indo-Pacific region. It feeds on plankton, and can reach a maximum length of around 30 centimetres. It is a hardy fish, and is popular in the aquarium trade.
