Elegant unicornfish (Naso elegans) in a crevice in coral. This fish is found on reefs in the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean. It spends the night in crevices in the coral, and feeds on leafy brown algae (seaweed) during the day. It can reach a length of 45 centimetres. This fish is considered the Indian Ocean variant of the Pacific-dwelling orangespine unicornfish (Naso lituratus), which is similar in appearance. Photographed in the Red Sea, at St John's Reef off the southern coast of Egypt.
