Black-breasted pipefish (seen at upper centre, Corythoichthys nigripectus) swimming over coral. This small, elongated fish reaches lengths of 11 centimetres. Pipefish feed on small crustaceans that they suck up with their tube-like mouths. This pipefish is found in the Indo-Pacific region. Photographed in the Red Sea, at St John's Reef off the coast of southern Egypt.
