Conger eels (Conger conger) peering from a rock crevice. This fish inhabits coastal waters in the Atlantic Ocean. It is primarily a nocturnal predator, hunting fish, crustaceans and cephalopods (such as squid and cuttlefish). It may grow very large, reaching a length of around three metres and a weight of over 100 kilograms. Photographed in the Mediterranean Sea.
