Five-lined cardinalfish (Cheilodipterus quinquelineatus) swimming amongst coral. This nocturnal fish is named after the five black lines on each side of its body. Next to the tail is a yellow and black spot. This fish grows up to 12 centimetres in length. It feeds on small crustaceans and other small fish. C. quinquelineatus is found in the coral and rocky reefs in the Indo-Pacfic region.
