Yellowfin goatfish (Mulloidichthys vanicolensis) shoal being watched by a scuba diver. This fish is common in the tropical Indo-Pacific region. It shoals by day for protection from predators, but at night the shoal disperses and individual fish hunt for crustaceans and worms on sandy seabeds. It can reach a length of nearly 40 centimetres. Photographed in the Red Sea off Marsa Alam, Egypt, a popular diving resort.
