Humpback snappers (Lutjanus gibbus) swimming over a sandy seabed. This fish inhabits coral reefs in the tropical Indo-Pacific region. It feeds on smaller fish, crustaceans, starfish and cephalopods such as squid. It can reach a length of around 50 centimetres. Photographed at the Fakarava Atoll in French Polynesia, in the Pacific Ocean.
