Banggai cardinalfish (Pterapogon kauderni) above the tentacles of a sea anemone. This fish is native to the Banggai Islands in Indonesia. It can grow up to 8 centimetres in length and it feeds on small benthic and planktonic crustaceans. The Banggai cardinalfish is under threat by extinction in its natural habitat due to its popularity in the aquarium trade. Photographed in Lembeh Strait, Sulawesi, Indonesia.
