Hyla punctata, a tree frog, found throughout tropical South America & on the Caribbean island of Trinidad (this specimen). They are usually found in dense vegetation close to the ground at the edge of swamps or shallow pools. The 'toes' of tree frogs are specially adapted to suit their climbing lifestyle; the tips are expanded into sucking discs which assist in gripping.
