European tree frog, Hyla arborea, sitting on an iris leaf. The genus Hyla is a large one, with representatives spread throughout the tropical & temperate regions of the world. They are, however, absent from Africa & India. They live in trees & bushes surrounding a source of water, in which their tadpoles (larvae) develop. Tree frogs have specialised 'toes', with the tips expanded into discs which assist in gripping.
