Green frog (Rana clamitans) eating a dragonfly. The green frog eats a wide variety of prey, including terrestrial and aquatic insects and small vertebrates such as other frogs and even snakes. An adult may reach a length of up to 12 centimetres. This frog is found throughout the northern and eastern parts of the USA, and in southern Canada. It inhabits woods and grassland near to rivers, swamps and lakes.
