Caption

White-lipped frog (Leptodactylus labialis). Native to Central and northern South America, this frog grows to about 5 centimetres in length. It is nocturnal and prefers to live in areas of high moisture. It breeds after heavy rains in May and June, laying its eggs in a foamy meringue-like nest made from bodily secretions.
