Common frog (Rana temporaria) looking at a smaller frog on the leaf above it. This frog is found throughout much of Europe, except in the warmer southern areas. It inhabits moist woodlands, meadows and rocky areas, although it has to return to ponds to breed. The common frog feeds on slugs, snails, worms and insects, and can reach a length of around eight centimetres.
