Caiman's jaw. Side view of a caiman's jaw (family Alligatoridae) taken underwater. Caimans are found in Central and South America near water. The largest caiman can grow to over 6 metres in length. Caimans may hunt in the water or on land, taking fish, molluscs and mammals. Young caimans feed on insects, crustaceans and other invertebrates.
