Caption

Male occellated gecko, Gonatodes occellatus, found on the Caribbean island of Tobago in Charlotteville. It belongs to the sub-family sphaerodactylinae of the geckos, members of which lack toe pads and the males (as shown here) are brightly coloured. This species lives in the darker, damper areas of houses as well as in forests.
