Mediterranean house gecko (Hemidactylus turcicus) camouflaged against fallen leaves. This is a juvenile, adults measure up to 13 centimetres in length. H. turcicus is native to the Mediterranean region, the Middle East and India, but has been introduced to North America. House geckos feed at night on insects. Photographed in Texas, USA.
