Caption

Spiny-tailed gecko (Diplodactylus ciliaris). This gecko lives in woodland and grassland habitats in Australia. When threatened it ejects a strongly- smelling, sticky liquid from the spines of its tail. It has large eyes to help it see at night when hunting for its insect prey.
