Caption

Leopard gecko (Eublepharis macularis). The leopard gecko is found in the deserts and arid grasslands of Iran, Afghanistan, western India and Pakistan. It can grow up to 25 centimetres in length. Unlike other geckos the leopard gecko has moveable eyelids and lacks the toe pads that allow other geckos to climb vertical surfaces. It feeds mainly on insects and fruit, but will also eat spiders, small lizards and birds and their eggs.
