Caption

Chameleon. Unidentified chameleon eating a grasshopper. Chameleons are famed for their ability to change colour to match their surroundings, although this is mostly limited to browns and greens. They also display different colours depending on their emotions. They catch their prey, mostly insects, by flicking their long sticky tongue at it. They can also move their eyes independently of each another, which helps them to aim their tongue strikes. Photographed on Madagascar.
