Caption

Cape dwarf chameleon (Bradypodion pumilum) on a flower stalk. Chameleons are famed for their ability to change their skin colour to match their surroundings. They also use the ability to display emotions. This chameleon inhabits grassland and shrubbery throughout southern Africa, often living in gardens and plantations. It feeds on insects and other small invertebrates, catching them by shooting out its long, sticky tongue. This chameleon reaches a length of around 20 centimetres.
