Spinner dolphin (Stenella longirostris). This social animal is found in tropical and subtropical waters worldwide. The spinner dolphin is usually found in schools of approximately 200 individuals. It is a small dolphin, not exceeding 2 metres in length, or 75 kilograms in weight. It feeds at night, on small fish and squid. The spinner dolphin is named for its lengthways spinning jumps, which are performed most frequently at night. Photographed in the Red Sea, Marsa Alam, Egypt.
