Badger sett. Entrance holes to a badger (Meles meles) sett in ancient woodland. The badger is a nocturnal mammal that is found throughout Europe and in many areas of Asia. It lives in social groups in underground burrows known as setts. The badger mainly feeds on earthworms, but it will also take insects, reptiles, amphibians, small birds and a range of plants and berries. Photographed in Herefordshire, UK.
