Polar bears. Two polar bears (Ursus maritimus) standing upright during a fight. The polar bear is a large carnivore which inhabits the ice floes and coastal waters of the Arctic region. It eats seals and fish, and is an excellent swimmer. It may be the largest land carnivore, with some specimens weighing over 700 kilograms. Photographed in Hudson Bay, Churchill, Canada.
