Cape fox, Vulpes chama, stretching. The cape fox is an omnivorous, solitary scavenger and forager. It feeds on small mammals and carrion as well as fruits. The cape fox inhabits the dry savannah of southern Africa and is mainly active at night. Photographed in the Kalahari Gemsbok National Park, South Africa.
