Cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus). This big cat relies on stealth and speed to catch prey. It can reach a top speed of about 68 miles per hour in 3 seconds, but this is only achieved in short bursts of about 460 metres. It usually feeds on antelopes, young wildebeests and zebras. Photographed in the Masai Mara reserve, Kenya.
