European rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus). These rabbits are found on every continent except Asia and Antarctica. They inhabit any area with soft soil that is suitable for burrowing, but will generally avoid dense forest. They are herbivores, feeding on grasses, roots, tree bark and other vegetation.
