Manatee swimming. West Indian manatee or sea cow (Trichechus manatus) swimming with a snorkeller. The manatee is an aquatic mammal that can remain submerged for up to 15 minutes before surfacing for air. Manatees consume up to 30 kilograms of vegetation per day.
