Caption

White rhinoceroses. Time exposure image of charging white rhinoceroses, or rhinos (Ceratotherium simum). The white rhinoceros is the largest land animal apart from the elephant. It may reach up to four metres in length and weigh over 3500 kilograms. Its numbers have been greatly reduced due to hunting for its horns. It inhabits grassland and savannah in central and southern Africa, feeding almost exclusively on grass. It has very poor eyesight, and relies mainly on hearing. Photographed in the Makalali Preserve, South Africa.
