Warthog (Phacochoerus aethiopicus) head. This herbivore lives in small family groups, spending the hottest parts of the day sheltered under vegetation or in its den, which it adapts from an old aardvark burrow. The warthog, which feeds on grasses and herbs, is found in the savanna and grasslands of sub-Saharan Africa. Photographed in the Kruger National Park, South Africa.
