Caption

White-tailed deer. Running white-tailed deer bucks (Odocoileus virginianus). These deer live throughout the Americas, except for northern Canada, southern South America and the south- western USA. They live in forests in small herds of between 10 and 20 animals. White-tailed deer eat leaves, grasses, herbs and small branches. They get their name from their white tail, which is flashed during flight to confuse pursuers.
