Male moose or elk (Alces alces) swimming in a pond. The antlers of the male moose are the largest of all the deer family. Moose live in forests, bogs and marshes in the higher latitudes of the northern hemisphere. They feed on shoots and aquatic plants. Males are solitary, while the females may be accompanied by one or two calves. Photographed in Denali National Park, Alaska, USA.
