Caption

Defassa waterbuck (Kobus ellipsiprymnus). This antelope occurs in two forms or "races" in sub- Saharan Africa, the race to the east and south of the Rift Valley having the white semi-circle on its rump seen here. It inhabits scrub and savannah, feeding on grass and other vegetation and, as it drinks large amounts daily, is always found close to water. Photographed in the Kruger National Park, South Africa.
