Greater kudu (Tragelaphus strepsiceros). This antelope lives in scrub and open forest in eastern and southern Africa, feeding on a wide variety of plants, including those rejected by other herbivores because of an unpleasant taste. Although it is a large animal, the kudu can easily jump heights of over 2.5 metres. The species is endangered as males are popular amongst trophy hunters due to their large, spiralling horns. Photographed in the Kruger National Park, South Africa.
