Waterbuck female (Kobus ellipsiprymnus) grazing on short grass. This antelope occurs in two forms or "races" in sub-Saharan Africa. This one belongs to the race which inhabits scrub and savanna to the east and south of the Rift Valley. It feeds on grass and other vegetation and, as it drinks large amounts of water daily, is always found close to a water source. Photographed in Kruger National Park, South Africa.
