Soil resistance testing. Equipment used to measure the electrical resistance of a soil sample. This gives an indication of the conductivity of the soil, an important factor when designing structures that need to be grounded. Soil resistivity measurements are also useful when making sub-surface geophysical surveys to help identify ore deposits, and in determining the degree of corrosion of underground pipelines.
