Cell division. Timelapse microscope footage of human cells growing and dividing in culture. The cells have been marked with green fluorescent protein (GFP) attached to a protein in the endoplasmic reticulum, and a red fluorescent protein attached to a DNA-binding protein. Cells are growing in culture over 3 days. This is a combination of phase contrast and fluorescence microscopy.
