Tsetse fly (Glossina fuscipes fuscipes). This one has used its proboscis to feed on the blood of its host, and its abdomen is swollen with blood. This blood-sucking parasitic fly is found in tropical Africa. The tsetse fly transmits Trypanosoma protozoa, which cause sleeping sickness in humans.
