Caption

Prickly heat blisters on the shoulder of a six year old boy. This is a mild form of the condition known as miliaria crystallina. It is caused when sweat ducts close to the surface of the skin become blocked, trapping the sweat in the small vesicles seen here. The vesicles are rarely itchy and will resolve without treatment.
